Personal Project: Rubber Duck (Part 3)

The Rubber Duck & Umbrella image was somewhat inspired from an image I had captured with a model years ago, that also incorporated some of the elements used in the previous rubber duck image (which can be viewed HERE). 

The fun part to me while creating this image, was thinking through how I wanted to shoot everything since there would be some compositing / retouching involved to get the final look I was going for. While it’s not unusual to require some level of postproduction work for certain types of advertising / commercial product photography, understanding what’s involved from start to finish can be the difference between a “hot mess” or success.

…and for the record, I did actually make it rain in the studio. At least on a very small scale.
